Micro Focus is focusing on performance testing of mobile web applications through SilkPerformer, a software application performance testing solution. <

It also simulates the bandwidth limitations of mobile network connections and supports all existing and upcoming mobile phone standards like GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSPA+ and LTE, while its mobile browser simulation emulates mobile device traffic from different parts of the world,” said Archie Roboostoff, Borland solutions portfolio director, Micro Focus.
iPass, a leading provider of enterprise mobility services, has deployed SilkPerformer and SilkTest, to facilitate access from any device on any network while giving the enterprise essential visibility and control.

CloudBurst extends Micro Focus industry-leading load and performance testing solution SilkPerformer out to the cloud. With CloudBurst, SilkPerformer enables testing organizations to easily manage large load tests that emulate hundreds of thousands of users from multiple global points of presence and to quickly diagnose and resolve discovered issues.
SilkPerformer CloudBurst utilizes the cloud to meet these resource demands using a flexible, pay-as-you-go, consumption-based pricing model.
This model also has the advantage of being able to monitor the underlying systems and provide performance diagnostics with one integrated product.
With CloudBurst, SilkPerformer has become a hybrid on-premise and on-the-cloud product, giving our customers the advantage of being able to load test all of their applications whether they are Internet facing or internal.
